new, and possibly improved

I have noticed, since turning this site into something resembling (but still not being) a blog, that people are much more demanding of things like updates. Unfortunately, while the site’s design was originally intended to make it easy to update, I quickly realised that anything more complicated than adding a simple post was far beyond my limited capablilities.

I have since discovered the fantastic software known as WordPress, which rather easily allows me to keep the site looking much the same as before, while adding all sorts of useful functions like searches, easy archiving, and even the potential for comments.

Today marks the first public test of the new, WordPress-enabled brezhnev.net. In theory, this should make updates much easier, and potentially more frequent. Inevitably, there will be a few bugs and cosmetic issues to work out, and I will see to them as time permits.
